| Explosion on Carolina Railroad |
| The cause of the non-arrival
of the South Carolina train this morning was the explosion of the
locomotive. We learn that when the train was about thirty-one miles
this side of Charleston the locomotive exploded, unfortunately killing
the engineer and fireman. |
