1000 Hands Wanted |
The whole line of the Columbia
& Hamburg Railroad is ready to be let. It is the desire and
intention of the Company to press this work to early completion. |
Contractors, who may be
accepted are specially detailed by order of the Secretary of War, and
all of their necessary supplies are exempt from impressment. |
Shovels, Picks, &c., can
be furnished by the Company, and unusual facilities for the
procurement of provisions can be extended. Refugees are particularly
invited to examine these proposals. |
For further particulars,
parties are referred to J. C. Terry, Esq.; Carrollton, Alabama, and to
Engineer's Office at Augusta and Columbia. |
