Office East Tenn. & Ga. Railroad Co. |
Augusta, Ga., 1st July, 1864 |
|
Coupons of this company,
maturing today, and those past due, will be paid in New Currency on
presentation at this office. |
This Road being in the hands
of the enemy, with the important bridges over the Tennessee and
Hiwassee Rivers burnt, and much other valuable property destroyed, I
earnestly advise and urge the holders of Coupons to send them in for
payment while an opportunity offers for getting the money. |
