Southern Express to Atlanta |
Mr. Dempsey one of the
efficient managers of the Southern Express Company has just returned
from Atlanta, seeking to re-establish the route between this city and
the Gate City. Daily express trains are now run through under the
convoy of careful messengers who carry an immense amount of freight to
the West and South. |
The line between Mayfield and
Milledgeville has been discontinued, the teams being now used filling
the gap in the Georgia railroad. |
The passenger trains hence to
Atlanta {on the Georgia RR} will commence their regular trips on the 27th of this month. |
