Sad Accident |
On Saturday evening, as the Central
{(of Georgia)} train was coming from
Milledgeville, a sad accident occurred. The train had stopped at No. 1
for a few moments. When it started again, a young man by the name of
Chandler, of Wilcox county, Ala., made an effort to get on the train
by trying to climb on the top of it between two box cars. He lost his
hold and fell upon the track. The wheel crushed one of his shoulders
and his arm, and knocked off a piece of his skull about three inches
in breadth. He was brought to Macon, with no hope of his recovery. |
