The attention of the Public is
called to the following rules adopted by the Ga. R. Road for
TRANSPORTATION of NEGROES: |
Persons desiring their
Servants to ride on the Trains of this Road, must, in person, or by
Agent, purchase Passage Tickets from the Agents of Road, and at the
same time require the Agent of Road to endorse the pass which is
furnished the Servant, as the Agent's signature will be required by
the Conductor as a guarantee that the pass is not a forgery. |
Negroes not provided with
passes agreeable to this rule will not be allowed to ride on the
Trains. |
Agents will not endorse a
negroe's pass unless he is fully satisfied that it is genuine and that
the person giving the pass is authorized to do so. |
A duplicate pass must, in all
cases be left with the agent. |
