The Central {(of
Georgia)} Road |
The
Central Railroad has been repaired from Macon to Gordon {20
miles}, and the hands are at work on the
Milledgeville and Gordon Road, which is expected to be completed to
the vicinity of Milledgeville in a week or ten days. |
A
temporary bridge, made of flats, has been thrown across the Oconee at
Milledgeville and that place has become the main route of travel in
communicating with the South and West. |
The
Macon & Western, or Atlantic Railroad {this
is unclear, since the Western & Atlantic RR does not go through
Jonesboro}, has been completed to
Jonesboro. |
