NP, AC 1/7/1865

From the Augusta Constitutionalist

January 7, 1865

The Central {(of Georgia)} Road
The Central Railroad has been repaired from Macon to Gordon {20 miles}, and the hands are at work on the Milledgeville and Gordon Road, which is expected to be completed to the vicinity of Milledgeville in a week or ten days.
A temporary bridge, made of flats, has been thrown across the Oconee at Milledgeville and that place has become the main route of travel in communicating with the South and West.
The Macon & Western, or Atlantic Railroad {this is unclear, since the Western & Atlantic RR does not go through Jonesboro}, has been completed to Jonesboro.
