Mismanagement on the State Road {Western
& Atlantic RR} |
The Marietta Rebel says: |
A lady who came up to this
place, in the cars the other night, desires us to express the
indignation she feels at the management of the trains. On the night
referred to, she says there was no lights in the ladies' car. We agree
with this lady, that such parsimony and penuriousness is execrable in
a company which boasts that it clears between one and two millions of
dollars per annum. We were ourselves on the trains, on Sunday night
last, and found it impossible to get a single drop of water in any of
the cars. Cannot such negligence be remedied? |
