The following just from Maj
Sims. The troops may go by either route that can take them give most to
Kingsville it would probably be better to divide them to secure the work
being done promptly to send them all by Wilmington should over take the
Manchester road I have not notified any roads in No Ca I leave it to you
the first fifteen hundred will leave tonight and the next ten or twelve
hours later let me know if the cars & engine will be at Weldon let

Sharp {Superintendent, Charlotte & South
Carolina RR} & Dunn {Superintendent,
Raleigh & Gaston RR} and Drane
{Superintendent, Wilmington & Manchester RR} know of it I have
notified Fremont & Drane and shall send two trains to Weldon tonight. |
