| Dear Sir, |
| Enclosed please find sundry
communications |
| Hearing nothing from Gov
Vance, relative to our train going to Raleigh, I waited its arrival from
Wilmington, and then communicated with Mr Sumner
{Superintendent, North Carolina RR}, he being about Mr Anderson
disputed me that he could answer my enquiry relative to our train, and
after waiting for two days I unloaded in the NoC Franchise, Mr A. ???
sent an Engine down to take our cars, and I refused to let them go,
unless our own Engine carried them. Large amounts of government freights
are arriving daily at Weldon & our trains are all employed on this
service. |
| Respectfully yours |
| Wm H Harvey
{Superintendent, Atlantic & North Carolina RR} |
