When the government freight is forwarded in government
cars, or hauled by government engines, the fact must be stated on
your transportation tickets, giving the number of cars. |
In settling accounts with rail roads, you will charge
them for the use of said cars, at the following rates: |
When the distance is over fifty miles, four (4) cents per
car, and twenty (20) cents per engine per mile run. |
For distances under fifty miles, $1.66 per car per day;
ten (10) dollars per day for a locomotive, the rail road furnishing
the engineer and hands; and twenty (20) dollars per day, if the
government furnish the runners. |
Locomotives, when hired for a month or longer, will be
charged at ten dollars per day, the rail roads providing the
runners. |
Government cars are to be used for government freight
only. |
The government cars are marked C. S. A., B. & O. R. R.,
A. & N. C. R. R. & U. S. |
These cars must be unloaded and returned promptly. |
