| I left Wilmington on the 27th
of Sept and when the train arrived at this place the Engine broke down
and had to be taken back to the shop to be repaired on account of the
scarcity of engines. I will have to wait here until the train is
repaired. I went down to Wilmington to see Mr. Smith the
Superintendent {not identified} of the
road {Wilmington & Manchester RR} and
he promised to have the engine ready in two or three days. I will let
you hear from me when I arrive Kingsville. |
