Dear Sir,
|
You will take charge of the sum of $684 which will be
placed in your hand by Capt R Lambert M. S. K. & proceed to
Chattanooga where you will deliver it to Mr. A. C. Richards in payment
of coal & obtain his signatures to the vouchers which Capt Lambert
will also hand you.
|
On your way to Chattanooga, stop at Stone Mountain &
see what prospect there is of getting the stone already gotten out by
Messrs Wood & Meador transported to Macon. Endeavor to get cars of
the State Road {Western & Atlantic RR} sent
to Stone Mountain for the purpose. Say to Mr Richards that I desire as
much lump coal as he can possibly send me.
|
Yrs Very Respectfully

{Sending Western & Atlantic RR cars to Stone
Mountain and then to Macon would require them to run on the tracks of
the Georgia RR and the Macon & Western RR}
