Dear Sir, |
Your requests have already been
anticipated. Owing to the press of transportation which has been
crowded upon the N. C. R. R. {North Carolina RR}
by arrivals at Charlotte of through trains from Georgia I have
loaned to Mr. Sumner Supt. of N. C. R. Rd. enough cars that could be
profitably spared upon my own road. I have only two trains to do the
transportation. If my engine had been in condition to have performed
the work, I should have had it employed also. It is at present in the
N. C. RR Company Shops for repairs & I fear will remain there some
time on account of the impressing demands of their own Road. I shall
be pleased to extend assistance as far my limited means will permit at
any & all times. |
Very Respectfully Yours
