| It is the utmost importance at
this time to expedite troops to General Johnston's & Genl
Beauregard's Commands, as speedily as possible. It has been
represented that if you can dispatch the mail train from Manassas
Junction to Gordonsville at 6 AM, so as to lay out of the way of the
Troop train in order not to detain it, that this could be
accomplished. Please make this arrangement if possible, and induce the
authorities of Manassas {Gap} RR to unite with you in it. |
