Captain, |
I would in reply to your Telegram of 21st
inst. from Galveston, regarding Rope for Capt Kleinfetin, respectfully
State .. that on Receipt of your telegram I immediately sent to
purchase this coil of one such Rope, but found that it had been
purchased by Mr. Morris. Supt. Tex. & N. O. R. R. {Texas
& New Orleans RR} for the use of that Road in repairing the
road in it in the Trinity Bottom. The necessity for it is very great,
& Mr. Morris declines to let me have it. If deemed desirable, it
might be impressed from Mr. Morris. The question appears to be which
is the most important, the completion of the Repairs on the T. &
N. O. R. R. or the immediate demand for this article at Galveston.
Your early attention Captain, will much oblige. |
Very Respectfully |
