Dear Sir, |
W M Dickinson was detailed to the service of this company
from Co D Cobb Legion in Jany/64. He has been recently ordered to
report to his company. On application to Mgr Genl H. Cobb showing
the importance to the Company of his service he granted him 30 days
time until this application could be heard from. Mr Dickinson is a
fine Mechanic and foreman of our Car Shop and in the present state
of our rolling stock will be a serious loss not only to this company
but determined to the interest of the Government transportation as
his place cannot now be supplied and our rolling stock need every
assistance to keep it up. Indeed we find it impossible to keep up
our repairs. |
I therefore ask that Mr Dickinson be allowed to remain in
our service and trust your knowing the importance of the
transportation of the country use your best efforts to this end. |
Yours truly |
