Dear Sir, |
We respectfully ask that you have a Post
Q. M. or Bonded Agent placed at Butler, the terminus of the South
Western and Muscogee R. Roads. Our reason for this is that the
assessment for loss and damage against our two companies is so heavy
that we wish to have the freight examined and reshipped over our
respective roads so that we may know which Road in all cases is
liable. Also we find it very difficult to get proper vouchers for
transportation for goods going from our various way stations to the
way stations on the other road. |
Yours Respectfully |

referred to Lt. Col. Sims. There should be no transhipment of freight
at that point. |
