The Secretary of the Navy thinks that by
removing four hundred and sixty-one tons of iron {about
4 1/2 miles} from the Brunswick {&
Albany} road he will not materially
injure the road for military purposes and will get one more ironclad
vessel at Savannah. Grant the permission if you think it can be
safely done. Communicate with the Secretary's Agent, J. G. Minor, at
the Pulaski House, Savannah. |
