| I learn that there are large numbers of
picks and shovels belonging to the Government at various places of
department in his City. Many of them are tools were brought prior
Manassas and the Peninsula. If you will give this Company an order
for all of these tools that you can??? not exceeding 6000 shovels
and 2000 picks we will take them to Danville, to be used in building
the Piedmont R Road, unless soner(?) intend for the Government. We
shall also want a quantity of harness which you ??? them in this
City. |
