to be furnished, by the Quartermaster General to Messrs Phinizy &
Clayton Government Cotton Purchasing Agents at Augusta Ga., for
transportation of Cotton to Charleston in compliance with the request
contained in the enclosed letter. |

Dear Sir, |
Yours of the 25th March, instructing us to ship 1000 Bales
Cotton to J. T. Trezevant, Charleston, S. C. at hand. We find that we
can not get transportation, and are informed by the Quartermaster here,
that it must be done through the Q. M. General at Richmond. You will
please send us the necessary authority at your earliest convenience. |
