The Sheriff of Appomattox & the
Mayor of Petersburg insist on taking the Rail Road negroes to work
on the fortifications. We shall have to stop running our cars if
they do so please send me such instructions as shall prevent the
sheriff tried it before in Secy Randolphs time & promptly
stopped it |
