| I have examined the "John Williams" the
men at work on her say it will be done by Thursday next. The tire
which is on the Engine will run for 4 or 5 months longer. Col Mea has
had a new set of tire cast for her. They are in Richmond at Reahms
foundry to be bored out she can be taken to Petersburg & run with the
old tire until they give out and then have new ones put on. |
