The South Side R. Rd Co. has purchased no iron since August 1861. We bought a small lot then but in May 1862 there was none to be had in this part of the country. Rail road iron in my opinion was worth more than has ??? ??? if it could have been bought. Any Rail Road Company needing it then would have bought it regardless of the price.
