| I have employed Mr Allen F Morgan the
bearer of this to hire one hundred & fifty able bodied negro men to work
on the Southern RR; also to buy supplies for the road. I will thank you
to furnish him with a passport that will enable him to approach as
nearly as may be safe and desirable, the enemys lines in the vicinity of
the Miss & Tenn. and the Miss Cen. RR, which I deem the best sections to
send him to. |
