Dear Sir, |
Your letter of March 24th is recd. The
dispatch to which you refer of the 17th never came to hand. Our first
communication from you was of {page torn} to
which we promptly replied. I would suggest that should you have to dispatch
to us again, you order the operator to ascertain if the telegram has
reached its destination. Our experience has shown the necessity of
this. |
I enclose to you the statement asked by
you in relation to our length of road, turn outs &c. It has been
prepared by Dr Emanuel our Vice President & may be relied on for
accuracy. I also enclose you Daniel's Map of Mississippi, which is
generally reliable & shows the location of our road with accuracy.
I send also a Passenger & freight time tables printed; & a
copy of our last Annual Report, {page torn} been
prepared for general circulation. Nearly all of our stock is held by
some 12 or 15 stockholders & this report was exclusively for them
& our creditors. |
We contemplate a change of schedule of our
passenger train. Will advise you when it takes place. There is no
possibility of any material increase of our rolling stock, or of its
decrease except from casualty. |
Calling your attention to the enclosed
letter |
I remain your obt servt |
