I telegraphed you last night to take the
most expeditious route & to communicate with local Supt for
necessary aid. Your telegraph tonight that you will send your trains
via Meridian & Mobile {& Ohio} Road.
Communicate your determination to Supt L. J. Fleming {Superintendent,
Mobile & Ohio RR} now at Corinth so that he may render
necessary aid. If as convenient send a portion via Jackson & Miss
Central road as may want them to take troops from G. {Grand}
Junction. Let me know at what time the trains leave your Road
& the direction. It is all important they should go forward. |
