Agreement between the Confederate States
on the one part and A. Dudley President of the Richmond & York
River Rail Road Co. on the other part: |
The said A. Dudley agrees to deliver one
mile of iron at the Company's depot in Richmond: And the Confederate
States Government agree to pay L11-15 shilling per ton for the same
and a like price for fifteen tons heretofor delivered to the Engineer
Bureau. And the Government agrees to give an order on their agent in
Europe for the amount, payable at sight. It is further understood that
if the said Dudley cannot deliver a mile he will deliver as much as
can be spared from his road. |
