| I certify, That I have examined and
adjusted the account of The Richmond & Danville Rail Road Company
and that there is due from the Confederate States and Payable to Lewis
E. Harvie President of said Rail Road Co. the sum of fourteen hundred
and fifty one Dollars and twenty five Cents for guarding Bridges on
line of said Rail Road during the month of September 1863 as per pay
roll of said Company herewith |

document is correct and the month of Service was September 1862. There
are payroll lists of guard for November 1862 that amounts to almost
