Dear Sir, |
I have some Lime in this place & I
find it quite as hard to get it from this place as it was to get it
from ??gs burn. All the cars have been taken from this end of the Road
to Andersonville to transport Prisoners from that place to other
points unless you make some arrangement with the Q. M. or R. R. Supt at
Macon for Cars it will be all most impossible for me to get any more
through until the trains return to this place. |
I got one car load off this morning through
facilities of Mr Hunter the agent but this place though not with
standing it was possibly against his orders his orders is to ship
Commissary Stores and let every thing else wait. |
Mr Harris is not making any Lime now for
the want of Powder which CS Burton is to furnish him with from Macon
he has but one more car load which he promised me |
Very Respy |
Your obt Servt |
