| Your letter of the 13th instructing us
to ship 1000 Bales cotton {about 60 car loads}
to Henry Savage, Collector of Customs Wilmington N. C. at
hand & noted. After repeated endeavors to procure transportation
through Maj Winnemore, the Quartermaster at this place, &
through the Supt. of the S. C. R. Road Co {South
Carolina RR} we find it impossible to do so & have
telegraphed Mr Memminger to that effect. |
