Scarcity of corn & difficultys of
Bagging & delivering at depots enough transportation of farmers
& of Rail Road transportation are all very great I respectfully
recommend the rapid reduction of animals in Virginia & North
Carolina drawing Govt forage to the number absolutely necessary to the
public defence transportation thus withdrawn from other service could
now be advantageously used to aid farmers in delivering corn at depots |
