Maj Locke, Chief Commissary of Ga. requested me to fill
the orders sent him for the shipment of 1500 Tierces of Rice
{67 car loads}, to Montgomery and with
lesser shipments elsewhere, my stock will be considerably reduced.
The issue too has been greatly increased. If important that Rice
should go to Va from here, please telegraph me whether to stop
shipments to the West. ***** |
