| You will proceed at once to
procure all the labor teamsters trains wagons and materials necessary
for the reconstruction of the Ala & Miss Rivers & Southern
{(of Mississippi)} Railroads. You will
apply to the Superintendents of these roads for information as to their
wants and whatever they may require you are instructed and authorised to
impress when necessary both as to labor and materials. You will
superintend the teamsters and see that all hauling of materials &
subsistance is promptly attended to. You will keep all the time and pay
rolls of the laborers and & other accounts of the Qr Mr Dept connected
with this enterprise, at all times conferring with the Superintendents
of said roads & fill their requirements as possible. |
