Dear Sir,
|
You will proceed by tomorrow morning's passenger train to
Albany and thence to Thomasville by wagon and report to Mr. Calvin Fay
for duty as Messenger between Thomasville and Albany.
|
Any stores put in your charge will be loaded by Mr. Fay
in wagons and must be taken to Albany with care.
|
On your arrival in Albany, deliver whatever stores you
may bring, to Mr. C. W. Ella at his R. R. Depot and return to
Thomasville for more, repeating your trips until all stores have been
brought from Thomasville or until you receive further orders.

One of my Messengers, who has gone before you, Mr. M. J.
Edgerly, has been provided with the means of getting transportation
wagons from Thomasville to Albany.
|
While in Albany you will consider yourself under the
orders of Mr. C. W. Ella and while in Thomasville under Mr. Calvin
Fay.
|
Maj. J. Y. Midiaoloffsky is respectfully requested to
furnish you with transportation to Albany and return to Macon and
Capt. R. K. Hines Q. M. at Albany is requested to forward you pr wagon
to Thomasville.
|
The Commissary in Albany is respectfully requested to
furnish you with rations during your stay between Thomasville and
Albany.
