engaged with mechanics & negro force in getting
crossties and laying track on the Florida end of
Live Oar & Lawton Railroad, and in raising piers
& superstructure of Suwanee bridge on said Road. |
Another force of impressed &
hired negroes under the general direction of Lt.
Fairbanks and the immediate superintendence of J. H.
Bucus has been employed in rebuilding bridges and
track destroyed by Yankee raiders on the Florida
Atlantic & Gulf Central R. Rd near Baldwin Fla.
and in removing iron from the Florida Road for
purpose of building Live Oak & Lawton Road |
