| I would respectfully call your attention
to the necessity of establishing a permanent guard for the protection of
Subsistence Stores on the Rail Road between this Post and Beaumont
{Texas & New Orleans RR}, and to request of
the Brig Genl Commanding that such a guard (say 6 or 8 men) be placed on
said road for that purpose. |
