| There are 3 8" Columbiads
laying at the Rail Road landing in Wilmington North Carolina. 2 of
these Guns were sent a few days ago from here to Gen. A. R. Lawton
Savannah Georgia. And one of them to Genl J. B. Grayson Fernandina
Florida, with 150 shell, 50 for each gun. |
| Through some neglect unaccounted to this
office these guns have not been forwarded to their destination. |
| You will proceed to Wilmington and take
these guns on as directed above. |
| At Savannah see Capt Cuyler Ordnance
officer and after you have delivered the 2 Savannah Guns, proceed on
to Fernandina with the other, and its carriage should Capt Cuyler not
have sent it from Savannah. |
