Col,
|
I have three cars loaded with machinery tools &c
which I hoped to get off by tomorrows train {Macon
& Western RR}, having reported to the Agent early in the
day, but he has not yet sent for them and as it is now quite late in
the day I have some doubt of their being sent before Saturday. I now
have all of the machinery & tools out of the main building, and
have yet to be loaded the Engine, Boilers Forges, Iron & Steel,
Scrap Iron &c, some progress has been made in the removal of the
Engine & Boilers, & if the weather is good, I think I can have
them on the cars by tomorrow evening. Enclosed you will find a list of
the Boxes &c sent, the boxes being numbered as was the first
shipment. I have sent a lot of shafts and some heavy articles on open
cars, hope they will come safe.

I remain yours
