Under directions from the Commissary General, the ration
of salt meat (until further orders) will be one forth of a pound
and one fifth of a pound of sugar in lieu of the deducted
quarter pound of salt meat. |

The difficulties in transportation render this deduction
in the meat ration imperative at this time. |
