If it is intended to continue
the office of Quarter Master in charge of R. R. Transportation, I know
of no more suitable person than Capt Mason Morffit now Acting Q. M. |
Capt Morfit looks carefully to
the interests of the Government as he should do, but has shown such
intelligence and industry in the discharge of his duties as to render
valuable service to this Road. |
In doing this he really
promotes to some degree the efficiency of this branch of the Service, &
it would give me pleasure to see him advanced to the position of Quarter
Master, with the Authority incident to that office. |
