This day personally appeared before the subscriber D
Lauderdale a Justice of the Peace for said district Michael Brannon,
and made oath that
he was in the employment of the Confederate States under Capt Thos R.
Sharp A.Q.M. direction removing Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Engines and
Materials and to the best of his Knowledge and belief one impressed
Horses died, viz: at North River on Valley Turnpike in April 1862, in the performance of the above service and
owing to their condition from hard labor their ownership could not
be identified.
