Dear Sir, |
I have the honor to ask for
the extension of the detail of Private M. A. Boley Co D 8th Reg't Ala
Volunteers to work as car builder on the Ala & Tenn River Railroad,
where he is at present employed under detail date June 23rd 1864. |
His services are indispensably
necessary for the efficient operation of the Railroad which will be
certified on oath. |

If really indispensable to the operation of the Rail Road no objection
will be urged to a continuance of the detail for 60 days: meanwhile
every exertion should be made to supply his place from those out side of
the army or incapable of performing active service. |
