| I have just returned home &
just recd yours stating that Captain Mason Morfit is an applicant for
the vacant Majority of our friend the Hon W S Ashe. My acquaintance with
Captain Morfit is limited but proves his character. I doubt not that he
would make a good & efficient Agent of Transportation for the Government
and I should be pleased to see him succeed to the position. |
