| The communication from Lt Col Forshey,
Consulting Engineer to Maj Gen Magruder on the condition of Texas
& New Orleans Rail Road, has been received, and his instructions
therein enclosed shall at once be carried out. |
| I respectfully request an order from the
Maj Post Comdg on the Chief of the "Bureau of Labor" for
(150) One Hundred and fifty negroes to work at once on this
road. |
