The different Rail Road
Companies whose accounts I audit and settle against the rates
established by the Rail Road Convention held at Columbia S. C. April 13,
1864, which fixed a much higher rate of compensation to go into effect
May 1, 1864. |
As the payment of these increased rates will involve the
expenditure of about fifty per cent more than I have estimated for since
1 May I respectfully call attention to the fact and ask for instructions
as to whether I shall pay the increased rates. |
