enclosing you a recommendation in favor of Mr J. W. Fairbanks for a
Clerkship in this Treasury Department. |
| Mr Fairbanks is a well known
citizen of Florida, and I can testify personally to his capacity, and
character. He is also spoken of by my friends with whom he has been
serving as reliable and trustworthy, and from his intimate
