District Attorney for Middle District of Tennessee, I desire hereby to
respectfully tender through you to the Hon. Secretary of War, my
resignation of my Commission as Major Quarter Master in the P. A. C.

| In this connection I beg leave
to ask that I may be relieved from duty at this Post at as early
a date as practicable. |
