Wood for promotion to a Majority in the Quarter Master's Department. |
His long experience, both under the
Virginia and Confederate Administrations amply fits him for such a
position, and his administrative energy has very successfully arranged
the many details connected with the Transportation Department. |
The services he has rendered deserve
notice from the Government, and it is with great pleasure I present
his name to your Excellency for favorable consideration and promotion. |
