I certify that the above Requisition is correct, and that the articles specified are absolutely necessary for the Public Service, rendered so by the following circumstances: I have been ordered to obtain information with a view to the construction of maps showing the topography of the country between the Trinity & Sabine rivers and South of the New Orleans R. R. to the Gulf of Mexico an area of 1950 miles.
